There arguement is total bs of course, this is just the investigation phase, I’m pretty sure that when the cops are investigating a murder, say, they don’t let the suspects question and obstruct witnesses and hide evidence and so on, but that IS what they are demanding now. Wish Dems would push back directly on their bs argument but they generally don’t.

Yeah. More evidence, all that. It’s like a pyramid scheme. Oh, and the idea that the media will always go galloping after it isn’t entirely true either. I just watched the White House press corps mauling Hogan Gidley like cats with a mouse they’ve crippled. He kept trying to crawl away, offering other topics than whether “lynching” is or isn’t a crazy term to use, and they wouldn’t let up, they just kept slamming away. Defending the indefensible by definition doesn’t work and there’s no point getting het up over futile attempts to do so.
Here’s something that’s interesting, to do some distracting myself–Tom Joseph points out that Trump has not been seen standing or walking in four days.

Why would they be “divided”? It isn’t as if there are any black Republicans. And the GOP is not known for “empathy”, “sensitivity”, or “imagination.”

I am not surprised. I read this morning that 90% of Republicans think the impeachment inquiry is nothing more than the Democrats getting revenge on Trump for winning in 2016. They are loyal to the point of ignoring the facts. Democrats are going to have to work harder to get the facts through to more Republicans. If we don’t we will make Trump a hero for Republicans the way Republicans made Clinton a hero for Democrats. Politics shouldn’t be a blood sport and we shouldn’t just be fans. Of course, the media sells politicians to the voters on behalf of their billionaire owners, the same way the NFL sells teams, so I shouldn’t be surprised.
