GOPers Divided Over Trump’s Racist ‘Lynching’ Tweet

After President Donald Trump compared the House impeachment inquiry to a “lynching” on Tuesday morning, Republicans are split over Trump invoking the country’s painful history of violence against black people as part of his whining about the inquiry.

“The impeachment process is the closest thing of a political death row trial, so I get his absolute rejection of the process,” Scott told reporters.

So Scott is selectively repudiating part of his vow to uphold the Constitution?

A fly on your face wouldn’t budge with that so-called ‘pushback.’

Dirt on him, must be pretty good.

OK, kids, today’s shiny object is going to be dissecting the word “lynching” and determining whether or not it applies.

Chase that shiny object. CHASE IT!

“Graham backs up Trump’s “lynching” comment about impeachment inquiry: “Yeah, this is a lynching in every sense.””

So would he also say that Republicans were lynching Obama?

There wasn’t a trial before a lynching, Tim, you insipid fucking clown.

Must be hell knowing a large part of the history that’s going to be written about you entails describing you as a sycophantic toadie to a disgraced, impeached President.

Yeah, nah. Count me far, far, far, far outside the groupthink that professes that complaining about being lynched is #wellactually part of Donald Trump’s brilliant eleven-dimensional chess media strategy brilliance.

Yes, thank you Miss Lindsey. It’s a lynching in every sense of the word, except that part where it’s a racist attack against a minority that ends in a brutal murder. Other that that: exactly the same.

Of course Republican’s would be divided about this. They left the legacy of Lincoln a long, long time ago. They know that to condemn Mr. Trump for his choice of language would be tantamount to condemning themselves.

I wonder if there’s a correlation within the divided GOP between those that support the idea of the political lynching with those who would actually participate in a non-political lynching, if the opportunity arose?

Because honestly, one side of that divide doesn’t comprehend the concept of a lynching. I hope they never do.

If you’d paid more attention in history class, Donald, you would have come up with a more accurate historical analogy.

Yeah, I don’t read that newsletter either. Since impeachment got real he’s just been out with one long scream of narcissistic rage and pain. It’s emotionally unendurable for him and he uses the most vivid language he knows to describe it. I’m sure he gets a little antsy if the spotlight goes away from him, but he’s got multiple investigations going on and dozens of areas in which he’s vulnerable. They’re too numerous to deal with at once, although the investigations grind on in their typically slow way. Distraction doesn’t work on a legal process anyway; Roger Stone could tell you that. And more and more this wall-chewing itself is losing him support. He can’t distract us from everything, and what good would it do if he could? What good is it doing now? I don’t see a method to the madness. I only see madness.

Why does the Republican party still exist? Oh that’s right, 25-30% of Americans are virulently racist.

It’s a tiny tiny push back on their Dear Criminal Leader BUT will they make him an IMPEACHED CONVICT?

And there’s a significant Venn diagram overlap with those who want a theocracy and believe that the GOP cult will bring it. The other 5 percent want to pay no taxes ever and get their roads and safe water through the grace of Magic Free Stuff Jesus.
