If every law enforcement officer resigns who is worried that someday he might be on trial for spending nine minutes choking someone to death while on duty - well, you’d certainly want them off the force, right? Even if you’re a hard-core law-and-order person.
Now if you think police should be entitled to use any available pretext to kill persons of color in any way they damn well please…well, kindly find yourselves a nice authoritarian regime to live under. Russia, Turkey, Brazil come to mind. Choose one, go there.

It’s always nice when you discover the exact words of the talking points that have been sent to the GQP. In this case, it’s that the verdict was politically motivated out of fear of violence.

Meanwhile, here in cities that are routinely over-policed by suburban cop gangs getting their rocks off on our blocks, we consider that more of a promise than a threat.
