I sincerely believe a whole lot of people already understand this.
The question is, what to do about it when the cult has a stranglehold on the country, the people, the culture, and all the rest? No amount of pointing this out has changed anything, so what’s next?
BTW - today in Wisconsin is Spring election - this is the day for the local school boards who have a ton of nutcase candidates running. Pray for us, as I’m afraid they’re gonna win.

Fun fact # 3. Murkowski, Collins, and Romney hold the fate of Judge Jackson’s appointment in their hands. After the Senate Judiciary Committee deadlocked 11 - 11, the vote goes to the full Senate. The last time that happened was when Justice Thomas was confirmed. A very likely scenario involves the three Republicans balancing out the inevitable Manchin & Sinema drama.

We’ve seen a steady march toward this ever since the GOP decided to embrace Newt Gingrich and his philosophy that politics was a war for power. Once you embrace war as a metaphor you also embrace the idea that there are no limits on what you need to do in order to win. There are no moral or ethical boundaries by which you must be bound.
By this time they have largely eliminated those members of the GOP who held what we might call a sincerely held conservative belief, leaving room only for those who are willing to put power before integrity. As an institution the GOP has made a deal with the devil, accepting people like MTG so they can grasp more power.

Absolutely is. Airlift capability is the great gamechanger in there, the notions of having to have a great supply chain running all the way back to Paris is slightly dated.
