I have nothing useful to add here other than Cruz’s nose looks like a penis.
Render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s. In other words “pay your fucking taxes.” A person’s tax dollars don’t have their name written on it, these ass hats have definite boundary issues.
It’s more direct than that - the RWNJ blather on about abortion contraception and IVF being paid for by the health insurance costs paid for by the employer, which is (supposedly) against their deeply held religious faith (right up until their mistress gets pregnant or their darling daughter gets knocked up by the second string quarterback). AIUI that’s what Hobby Lobby and the nun case was all about, hence the laugahbly named “restoring religious freedom Act” - or as more accurately named, “imposing a bronze age goat herder religious belief on everyone else Act”
If that is the case, you probably should go see a urologist. Or MTG as she is apparently a penis aficionado.
GOP Sens Scramble To Find Reason To Oppose IVF Bill
Oh come on - just come out and admit that you really get pleasure out of making life even more agonizing for people who are struggling with infertility - you fuckers just want to piously and smugly say to these poor souls
"Well, it is God’s will … If you were meant to conceive … it would have happened by now."
and
"My God says that this just isn’t to his liking
… so tough shit … you peasants must obey the rules of MY GOD!"
Sens. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Katie Britt (R-AL) put forward a bill that would make states ineligible to receive Medicaid funding if they ban IVF.
This just a 2fer trojan horse.
They get to block IVF AND cutoff Medicare funding.
Its a win/win from the burn it all down party.
How about “a community heartbeat bill” whereby any person or group is required to provide funding for free daycare and education subsidies (in public school), in perpetuity, to their community and less affluent neighboring communities before they can claim a religious exemption.
They gotta have skin in the game or they’ll never learn the value of freedom and family planning.
That Fundie Baby Voice is so annoying. Knowing the ideology that comes with it is nauseating.
You win the thread today! Rancid Blobfish with critters in his scraggley ass beard
I keep thinking of that scene from “Orphan Black” where the Ukrainian assassin clone is offering a choice of animal semen to the guy running the baby farm for his “impregnation” …
Raphael is an idiot.
I agree with Sen. Scott: the clear solution is for the United States Government to provide health coverage for everyone in the country, thereby freeing religious institutions of the burden of having to decide which healthcare decisions they will support, and what life-affirming care they will deny their employees access to.
I love to watch the Trump Maga Party ( I refuse to call them the Republican Party) twist in the wind on issues like this, where they’re caught between a rock (born again assholes) and a hard place (female voters looking for reason to vote with the Trumpists)! The Senate Dems need to have a new issue every week that emphasizes how the Trumpists are far out of step with the rest of the country.
Sens. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Katie Britt (R-AL) put forward a bill that would make states ineligible to receive Medicaid funding if they ban IVF.
Their reasoning:
- Most of these states’ governors refused the Medicaid expansion, so they’ll be glad to have this as a “penalty”.
- Banning Medicaid only hurts poor people, which is just about perfect for Republican purposes.
Just accept it as given truth from Ted Cruz, the Master(de)bater, taking both sides, inside-out and upside-down. Personally, I have a religiousy objection to anything he and his Republican ilk want to do.
Or MTG as she is apparently a penis aficionado.
Bobo could give a second hand perspective.
How simple it would be for women to make their own decisions without any clergyman or politician
telling them what they can or cannot do. All this wasted time with politicians lying and doing everything they can to control women. Time for Republicans to put the country before the cult.
The women in the SBC are allowing the clergy to control their lives. Time for
them to make their own decisions, to hell with the church.
Again, any Democrat can win in even the reddest district if the Democrat hammers on Dobbs all day every day, try to straddle or appease and lose lose lose. There’s 100 million women ready to vote and they ain’t thinking gop. All we have to do is prove we got their backs.
lolololololol
