Two days after voting to acquit President Trump in the Senate impeachment trial, several Republican senators attempted to stop him from firing EU ambassador Gordon Sondland to no success.
His need to show his power is greater than his gratitude for their loyalty. I hope they enjoy the victory laps that we are sure to endure. I hope they enjoy defending their votes every day for the rest of their lives.
