Sens. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Ron Johnson (R-WI), who oversee the Senate Finance Committee and Homeland Security Committee respectively, sent Attorney General Bill Barr a letter on Monday asking whether the department is investigating the right wing conspiracy theory that Ukraine and the Hillary Clinton campaign colluded to undermine then-candidate Donald Trump’s campaign in the 2016 elections.
Republican Senators have a form letter they keep on their hard drive, so they can easily insert whatever bogus claim belches forth from the fever swamp. It’s a time-saver!
Trying to make TRump look anything less than completely crazy and unhinged is a full-time job. If this was a thing, why is it coming up now? Because Trump is falling deeper and deeper into the alt-right conspiracy swamp and they have to make it look like his ravings are based on something legitimate.
But they’re not - they are simply ravings.
And in the “I can’t prove it, I just know it is true” category - when Grassley breathes on fresh flowers they wilt and die.
These dried up old prunes had better hope their constituents are as dim as they appear to be . They truly have no morals. And they aren’t up for re-election. Folks have short memories for dumbfuc&erry.

This is more of Solomon, who recently resurrected the accusations that some DNC “operative” named Chalupa tried to get dirt from the Ukrainian embassy and president regarding Manafort and that mess.
I sure hope Republicans also reminded DOJ to probe Clinton’s connection to Jimmy Hoffa’s disappearance, the still missing "w"s from White House keyboards, Malaysian Airlines flight 370, and Bert and Ernie’s sexuality. The reach of her corruption knows no bounds.
This is just a blatant attempt to bring some kind of equivalence to Trump’s actions…it shows how desperate the Republicans are to distract to anything at all so they avoid Trump dragging them all down.
The danger in this is that we have a corrupt DoJ, where the leader and some others are willing to go along with things like this in order to protect the Republicans. Barr could very easily muddy the waters with several fake investigations, along the line of the current State investigation of Clinton’s emails (where they classified emails years after sending and then threatened the senders with violating rules for handling classified information!). I would not put it past them to put together a bunch of spurious investigations to show how “corrupt” Democrats are…the question is if the rest of the DoJ goes along with such ratfuckery.
