Right. Because holding a corrupt freak of a president accountable for incitement to riot against our government is such a partisan thing to do.

No, the T**** partisans attacked the Capitol.

Weren’t you GQP’ers paying attention on January 6th?

The rest of the country was. And is.

The real question is why the leading political news shows keep giving these lying GOP clowns such a prominent stage to spout their nonsensical talking points unchallenged. Trump is gone, but nothing changes.

We really have to stop this tendency to pick on those who incite insurrections! Have we no decency?

Four Senators, and not an honest Constitutional spine among them. Plus Rand Paul wears a wig.

unconstitutional partisan attack

well, I guess that would be the last resort statement.
I hope they pay some attention to the managers opening statements and the following evidence based facts as to why there witnessing what really is constitutional and what is not allowed under The Constitution of the United States…
but the gop is what it is. Oblivious

For people who are convinced they are going to win they sure seem bent out of shape. What exactly is their objection? We aren’t getting to negotiations for single payer fast enough? Or could it be that they realize that clinging to the anchor Trump might make it harder to rise to the top later, but for now they dare not let go.

Since all of these senators presented non sequitur as argument or misrepresented the process or the law or, like Rand Paul, made a complete hash of the entire subject, and we already know their capacity for bad faith is limitless, I’m not sure why we got detail on each one. Why bother at this point? To riff on Wicker, “unity” with them is not the issue, unity for the country is what this is for and that demands an accounting.

I bet all of these clowns think the Clinton impeachment was entirely impartial.

As usual the scary and infuriating thing is that by saying these things you can gauge the blinkered MAGAt info bubble epistemological closure of their audience. Nothing other than the Big Lie will do. Trump Uber Alles. This is a mafia organization, not a political party.

A little OT… But is that Trump Bobblehead where he’s humping the flag the work of a troll? Sasha Baron Cohen perhaps?

Why are Senators making constitutional determinations?

Convict the seditious SOB, and let SCOTUS sort it out when he appeals. Not that I have any faith in them, but a guy can dream.

OT: in case you need another reason to feel good about humanity today…

Offensive lineman Laurent Duvernay-Tardif missed the season that took his team to their second Super Bowl in two years to work as a doctor in a Montreal hospital.

And despite his team’s chance to win it all again on February 7, he’s at peace with his decision to help others.

If your side cannot win on procedural issues, pound on and point to the evidence.

If your side cannot win on a review of the evidence, then pound on procedural issues. It appears the GOP has called this play. It shouldn’t work because McConnell set the schedule. The GOP cannot be allowed to set the schedule for after the accused leaves office, then cry foul because the trial occurs after the accused leaves office.

The impeachment managers need to make this trial about the ethics of the GOP senators and about how the current heart and soul of this nation will corrupt the future of this nation unless Trump is judged according to the evidence. If the GOP doesn’t, then the Dem House must find a way to paint them into their corrupt little corner, and make them pay a heavy political price.

I’m not sure what you mean. Who has the right to do that? The House of Reps?

All their eggs in Trumpty Dumpty’s basket.
