He’s an observant Jew, but has removed his kippah. He must touch his head and give a blessing/thanks before he drinks.

Not for this, no.

I am shocked, shocked that Senator Hitler Youth did not participate.

If he is going to making that salute all the time, he should get a suit that fits.

I’m not sure why the Republicans feels such a strong need to rub our noses in their absolute corruption.

Another dream dies…well we wait upon the moral arc of the universe then.

I have faith that pro-impeachers have ratfuckery that would counter this ratfuckery. If you got 'em, smoke 'em. With all you got.

Lindsey trying to remember, “Now which closet door did Trump threaten to open if we don’t get this done?”

That is always a possibility. They all have that option, and I suspect a few will take it. But these three clowns appear to be in it. I hope thy prove me wrong.

did anyone not think that this was the way it was going to be? If so we are the fools. We now need to make them pay through effective, directed marketing and advertising techniques. Lets hire some republicans to burn their house down.

They met with Trump’s lawyers because they are scared. To me, this acknowledges that they know numerous Republicans will vote to convict, likely more than who voted for the Constitutionality of the trial.

In their huddle they strategized how to claw back some of them.

I missed that Mike Lee “mulligan” quote.

But hey, what’s a little insurrection among friends?

Senator Hitler Hawley Your photo shows the same fist pump gesture that Trumq used in his pep rally just prior to insurrection on January 6. Some sort of gang signal, I guess.

“Everyone makes mistakes, everyone is entitled to a mulligan once in a while.”
–Sen. Lee

That makes the GOP mulligan stew.

“There’s nothing about this thing that has any semblance of due process whatsoever,” he told CNN.

.I see your point Mr Schoen, if you exclude the Senators’ own oath to be impartial jurors and whatever ‘due process’ there is in the appearance of impartiality that is. Amirite?

…this is a good rhetoric class example of ‘Lying With Facts’. It’s the bread and butter of RANJ Hate Radio. The Fact: Impeachment is a court-like political process to meet out a punishment. The Lie: So this conduct is OK,

And you’re right that it was a bizarre thing to say – not only because of the context here but also because Trump already had his “mulligan” the first time he was impeached.

That’s likely to come as surprise to him.

Well said.

Careful with how far you go with that line of argument.

It is true that open collusion with one side cannot get the case thrown out as a mistrial or something, nor can lawyers be disciplined, as in legal proceedings.

But that does not makes this any less a violation of the process, and for the same reasons.

This trial is not political in the sense that “Democrats are impeaching Trump because they don’t like him and want gain political advantage”. They really are conducting an actual trial on whether he violated his oath of office. Fomenting insurrection is - in fact - illegal.

More adoptions. This time the lawyers were adopting talking points.

Haley gets it all wrong again. She is Bruce Willis from The Sixth Sense, believing she’s only talking to someone who sees dead people, oblivious that she is already dead herself.
