I am going to repeat what I said above, because it is critical: unity requires action. The way we get “unity” is with a “unified” message that attacking the capital is wrong. We don’t get “unity” by ignoring descent. That is, in fact, how we get more descent and more terrorist attacks.

Here’s the deal. All House and Senate members who supported the Stop the Steal election fraud hoax and voted for the AZ and PA Letter of Ascertainment objections should RESIGN. After that happens the remainder can ask for unity with the rational half of WDC.
Agreed we do need unity at this time.
Republicans and Democrats must demonstrate unity in defense of our democracy and against Trump and his insurrectionists.
Impeachment would do that. Isolate the autocrats. Show that they are a very small minority. That would be a real act of unity.
A great way to promote unity would be to calm their base.
