Kindly Doc Maddow says a version of that all the time, “Watch what they do, not what they say.” And in this particular administration what they say means almost nothing as they contradict half of it and walk-back the rest.

They are trying hard to focus exclusively on the phone call. Trump is a idiot, so if that phone call was the only thing that happened the defense would make sense, but it wasn’t. There was a plot to force the Ukrainians to help Trump. That is what the Republicans want all of us to forget. I can’t. What about the press.

So basically according to the GOP, the only thing impeachable or indictable for a president is lying under oath - no matter how small or big the lie is. Therefore the GOP will do everything in their power to make sure Trump is never ordered to testify under oath.

How ghoulish. To have the President, Treasury Secretary, the woman who killed their son all smiling in front of photographers, likely holding one of those big checks you get after winning a golf tournament. No prior knowledge or consultation with the dead boy’s parents. Were they supposed to sit around and negotiate a price with the master of the Art of a Deal??
It could ONLY have been Trump’s idea and no one dared tried to talk him out of it.
