Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL) has come under fire after she thanked former President Trump for appointing conservative judges who overturned Roe v. Wade, a ruling that she praised as a “historic victory for white life” during a Trump rally in Illinois on Saturday night.
“You can clearly see in the video … she’s looking at her papers and looking at her speech,” Wartman told the AP.
Right. And she didn’t like what she saw, so she ad libbed something that she was sure would go over better with her audience.

You know those statements that are so out there, you’re not even mad? You just think “wow, it’s right there in the open”. Yeah, that. I’m sure I’ll be mad after I’ve processed it, but I’m still in the “wow” stage

Somewhere outside Chicago there’s a land called Illinois.
So, she is such a staunch supporter of principle that she says things of this sort, then lacks the honesty, conviction, and strength of character to stand behind them.
Instead, she stands for racism and cowardice in equal measure. Just like Trump.
Those who honestly mis-speak, quickly correct themselves; they don’t applaud themselves.
Note how the crowd cheered. They know she didn’t mis-speak.
Of course they cheered, and they grumbled when she walked it back on Twitter.
They so badly want someone to just come out and say it.
Are the 17 children in the second tweet from her, her and her husband’s kids? They just collect 'em? Indoctrination starts in the home, I guess.
If she is so concerned about life, will she vote to raise taxes to pay for pre and post natal care? To expand Medicare and Medicaid?

If she misspoke why didn’t she correct herself at the time? An actual verbal error would sound like this: “This is a victory for white life—I mean right to life.” Are we to believe she didn’t hear the words that came out of her own mouth?

Sometimes what one really believes but has long suppressed just forces its way to the surface and is stated forthrightly to be explained away as an ‘oopsie.’
Statistically, women of color have more abortions than white women, so if she meant “right to life” then she is supporting a further decline in white plurality.
If she meant “white life” then she is castigating white women for having too many abortions and leading to the decline in white plurality.
Sounds like a lose-lose, own goal by a MAGA.

I know a number of Mary Miller’s neighbors in the Oakland, IL area and met her husband a few times when I was in college nearby.
She meant what she said.
