Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) on Tuesday bashed Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), after the New York Republican gained endorsements from House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA) to replace Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) as conference chair.
He criticizes Liz Cheney in that she âhas been looking backwards?â Really?? That his hilarious given Donnieâs sole complaints about the election being stolen. What a load of sh_t!
Not craycray enough for the rep from Stumblebum, TX. Incidentally, his district is shaped like a jerrycan overfilling a carâs fuel door with lots of splashback. Mandered to fuck voters in both San Antonio and Austin.
âLet us contemplate the message Republican leadership is about to send by rushing to coronate a spokesperson whose voting record embodies much of what led to the 2018 ass-kicking we received by Democrats,â Roy wrote.
Thatâs why you lost? Are you sure it didnât have anything to do with this buffoon?
The Texas Republican, however, did not come to Cheneyâs defense, saying that the third-ranking Republican âhas been looking backwardsâ for criticizing former President Trump after she voted to impeach the former president for âincitement of insurrection.â
After declaring that he will vote to ârecallâ Cheney during the House Republican Conferenceâs vote on Wednesday to oust Cheney as its chair, Roy took aim at Stefanik for her past moderate record.
âLet us contemplate the message Republican leadership is about to send by rushing to coronate a spokesperson whose voting record embodies much of what led to the 2018 ass-kicking we received by Democrats,â Roy wrote.
Chip Roy: âLooking backwards is fine for me, but not for thee.â
(On a side note, thereâs something awfully backwards looking about Chip Roy.)
Stefanikâs district in New York is not real moderate. She tilted from a Koch-bought rep to a Trump owned rep, in part, as a response to what her district was showingâheavy Trump nonsense.
These idiots wonât be happy until they put Boebert or MTG into leadership. And that would be McCarthyâs nightmare come to life. Itâs clear he has absolutely no control over his caucus and no natural allies within the Republican House. Heâs a dead man walking.
With the rise of the Trumpublican Party, he didnât take the leadership. It was given to him by default. Boehner and Ryan played the game where someone says, âWhoever wants to be captain, step forward,â and they both took two big steps back. McCarthy was too inept to realize he was left out front, alone.
I found an interactive map of that. I can follow each neighborhood I think of as obnoxious money, belligerently conservative and very white and the map flows right along. Incredibly bespoke. It is interesting that it also grabs most the the S. TX. Medical Center. No surprise it is anchored in Terrell Hills and Alamo Heights, hooks over in to Castle Hills and heads north.
