GOP Rep. Insists That Pence Has Spoken ‘Very Favorably’ About His Ties With Trump | Talking Points Memo

Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN) said on Tuesday that former Vice President Mike Pence has spoken “very favorably” about his friendship with former President Donald Trump even as questions linger over whether or not the two men would mend their bond in the wake of the Capitol riot.

Hey, you tried to get me killed for not doing something I couldn’t legally do anyway, but that’s cool, we’re good. What a scumsucker.

Pence doesn’t see that his political career, such as it has been, is over. He can’t have it both ways: not doing Trump’s bidding on certifying the election, and then promising fealty to Trump. They were looking for him to hang him in the capitol, after all… He’s on too many shit lists. But he’ll certainly find money to hire some political consultants to “help” him. Pass the popcorn.

So Pence has spoken “very favorably” about his (zip)ties to the former president. Rriiiiggght.

If there were any sense in the man, he would spend his time on Zillow, find his homeless self a place where he and Karen can settle down, and quietly learn to garden and enjoy the grandkids. Seriously, politically Pence is a dead man walking in the Republican Party. Nobody–nobody–looks to him for advice or wisdom. A podcast for conservative youth? Nope.

Note to Pence
I do believe that the fact they would prefer to hang you over other options would pretty much indicate you are finished politically.

But he was smart enough to not attend CPAC where he knew he would be booed if not tar and feathered.

Exactly. Who cares whether or not they’ve spoken? They’re both toast.

Dear Pence,
“A word to the wise ain’t necessary-it’s the stupid ones that need the advice.”

“He spoke very favorably about his relationship with President Trump,” Banks told CNN. “I got the sense they speak often and maintain the same personal friendship and relationship now that they have for four years.”
If true, as I said yesterday, Pence is the most cowardly person I’ve ever known of in American public life. He may also be as craven and reprehensible as Trump who not only tried to have Pence killed, he risked the lives of Pence’s family too. Whether it’s a political calculation or unparalleled cowardice, he’s just as bad as Trump.

Hey, all a cult leader wants is some universal, abject, self-debasing adoration. Is that too much to ask?

Perhaps he needs conversion therapy to bring him back to reality. /s

Back? Maybe he’s living his realty?

This looks so breathtakingly cowardly to the average American and I’m dumbfounded Mikey doesn’t see it too. No respect for him from me.

“I got the sense they speak often and maintain the same personal friendship and relationship now that they have for four years.”

Does that mean that Pence is still thanking Trump for his strong and tremendous leadership and blathering about Trump’s broad shoulders?

Maybe he thinks he’ll be reinstated on the March 4th coup.

I do not think Mother is so stupid as to not realize that Pence political career is over. Maybe saying that it’s all good with Trump is a pre-requisite to apply to the Wingnut Welfare Network.
