GOP Rep Emails Colleagues To Pressure Them Into Backing TX AG’s Long-Shot Lawsuit | Talking Points Memo

Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) reportedly sent a personal email on Wednesday to fellow House Republicans asking them to add their signatures to an amicus brief supporting a long-shot lawsuit led by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton seeking to delay the certification of presidential electors in four battleground states won by President-elect Joe Biden, according to CNN and CBS.

“He said he will be anxiously awaiting the final list to review,” Johnson wrote.

He’s making a list,
And checking it twice;

I wonder when Biden takes office and the new Attorney General is in office can these people be indicted for sedition?

For adding their names to an amicus brief?

Or for something else?

Seditious fucking monsters. The Republican Party as a whole is the biggest threat to the integrity of this country since the Civil War. I’ve hated them for years, but even I couldn’t have imagine how corrupt they’ve become.

Advocating overturning of a legal election for no reason? Seems kind of like sedition. 1st Amendment would surely outweigh that, but disbarment seems appropriate.

Well, fifty people might have more data or better arguments than one person does.

What that has to do with this case is … unclear!

There is 21 January 2021, after all.

But the Roy Cohn Bluster Machine makes it easy to forget this.

In any other Transition, the stories would be ten to one President Elect.

And we all knew this was coming.
