This idiot participated in a Reopen caravan protest on Saturday across Maryland. At its stopping point in Salisbury, he gave a speech comparing the measures implemented by Governor Hogan to control the spread of the virus “to tactics seen in North Korea and China.”
Harris’ seat has been considered ‘safe’ but Governor Hogan is highly popular right now (his popularity was at 69% in February and has gone up since then) and Hogan’s COVID-19 efforts have also received high marks. Harris may no longer be quite as safe as he once thought.
His Democratic challenger has not yet been decided - our mail-in primary is June 2nd. I’ve already put a donation aside for whomever becomes his challenger.

I forgot to add that Salisbury is home to three poultry processing plants, and many other residents in his district commute to poultry processing jobs in Delaware. His district is rapidly becoming a major state COVID-19 hot spot.
And, he claimed on Saturday that he wanted churches reopened - but the Archdiocese of Baltimore has already announced they won’t reopen until the state and medical experts say it is safe to do so - and only in phases and not reopening all at once.
Now we know why Maryland only has one Republican from their Congressional delegation…and this guy is an anesthesiologist for fuck’s sake.

Btw, anesthesiologists are among some of the highest paid doctors primarily because they carry some of the highest liability insurance for themselves in practicing their speciality.
