My first cat loved green olives and had the same routine as yours. I once put the remaining jar juice in his dish and he lapped it up … not a good move. He lost all sense of balance and had to go sleep it off.

That was my initial reaction too, but upon re-reading, it seems more likely that they’re trying to hide all the other transcripts from the criminal defendants, so they can’t try to concoct some kind of defense out of them. Which is bad, because the freedom to concoct a defense in accordance with the facts is (or ought to be) basic Due Process.

Regarding cats and melons, I believe it was over 20 years ago that I heard/read it was genetic. Many or most cats don’t go for cantaloupe or honeydew or watermelon…but those that do seem compelled. I was looking for an answer because we had two cats and one couldn’t care less, the other would push and shove and do everything she could to get some. She didn’t do that for anything else.

When I was in my 20’s, I worked full time while going to college part time. That only works as long as you have a consistent work schedule. At one point, I was on mandatory overtime causing me to flunk 3 courses and lose the equivalent of about a month’s pay. I was furious. It took a lot of work to be readmitted and purge the Fs on my transcript later on, never mind the financial hit.
The hours on demand (by the employer) model that so many companies now use is a disaster for their workers. It makes education, a second job, any kind of social club or activity, etc. impossible - you can’t commit to being there.

I’m wondering. What if DeSantis and Abbott are left alone; you know that they’re spoiling for a confrontation with the Feds to polish their winger creds; and have DHS impound all the aircraft and busses. In other words, come down hard on the Johns and ignore the hookers.

I am not sure but I think this is badly worded. I think they are saying if the DOJ indicted them then the Jan 6th committee would find it difficult to get any information from these people to complete their investigation.
