The GOP nominee for Minnesota secretary of state said changing voting rules after the “big rig” that was the 2020 presidential election was “our 9/11,” likening the election to the 2001 terrorist attacks when discussing proposed reforms to election laws.
It’s not just her that’s freaking out about potential huge losses and blaming the game.
Grotesque asymmetric analogies = sign of corruption and insanity. Or, more simply, she’s nuts!!
I live in Minnesota. Yes, this election was our Holocaust, our Black Plague, our Red Death, our Doomsday, our 100 years war, our near-extinction event. The earth has been razed and blackened by nuclear fallout, our waters poisoned by disease, and everyone you meet is a walking dead zombie, on the hunt for fresh human brains to eat. I tell you it’s bad out here. Real bad.

There was no “big rig.” Comparing your made up BS crybaby wingding nut job temper tantrum to a mass casualty event and shared traumatic event by all Americans is beyond the pale. Go live somewhere else if you can’t handle a democratic election and it’s fair results.

Remember, with Repugs every accusation is a confession: what she means is that she wants her lot of local bullies to be in charge permanently instead.
It rarely gets addressed until it has reached the level of Jim Crow or draconian anti-abortion law but local, state-level bullies can be at least as oppressive as distant authorities if only because it is more difficult to escape their notice; e.g., the liberty of local bullies.
So the election of 2020 was just like an attack on the US that was televised live, worldwide.
So there must be some obvious evidence, beside just belief?
Next she will be telling us that tens of millions Minnesota votes were nefariously changed from R to D.
I can state with pretty high certainty that she hasn’t a chance.
The relatively popular governor of MN is running again and I don’t hear anything from anyone that would dissuade me from thinking he won’t still be governor next year.
MN may be the home of Mike Lindell, but he’s the minority ideology there.
I wonder what the real 9/11 was to her crew?
Her use of the term “our 9/11” sure makes it sound like she’s disowning the original 9/11. To most of us, I feel like ‘our’ 9/11 is still 9/11.

Having family living in Manhattan at the time, having scores of members of our local community who perished, having various acquaintances who have never recovered from the devastating psychological trauma (some who have self-medicated their way out of this world) … having seen the sky on the horizon bear the scar of the smoke plume for well over a month after that tragic day … this is just despicable.
… it is incomprehensible as to how someone can so cavalierly draw such a repulsive comparison.
Attorney Kim Crockett should seek professional help - maybe look into why she feels compelled to grandstand & gratuitously toss out such repulsive and hurtful statements.
Apparently she has never seen ugly.
She needs to see, smell and walk among the needless lose of human life to understand how stupid she and anyone who believes her.

The legitimate 2020 election in which a majority of Americans voted for POTUS Biden was the Rethugs’ version of 9/11. Got. it.

She won her primary. So her election was rigged?
The hypocrisy, and irony, is that she’s spinning this fantasy off the VRA, which corrected all the injustices she’s whinging about after they were put in place by the people whose descendants became her side.
Now she wants to reinstitute those injustices in the name of restoring "fairness.
This couldn’t be more twisted, more, “less is more.”.
How come these people are endlessly shocked that a president with horrible approval ratings, who lost the 2016 popular vote, who wasn’t polling ahead of his opponent, didn’t win?
Apparently everything, from numbers to reality itself, is “rigged.” And their answer is gonna be to rig the next one via controlling the voting infrastructure. Which isn’t “rigging.”
