Great news for Trump! Not only is the RNC being moved to the one of the greatest concentrations of mullet-sporting white trailer trash (i.e. his core base, MAGA Nation) in the country, but he’s now surging in the polls. He’s up to 41.2% approval after being down to 41.0% yesterday. Woohoo MAGA!

Great, there won’t any large number of Repukes coming to NC. COVID-19 is probably going to hit two peaks this Summer and Fall. The first from the protests and the second from the convention. Of course, a hurricane might cause cancellation of the convention but I don’t know if they would be smart enough to do that. Anyone who plans a large event in Florida in August in what may be one of the worst hurricane seasons ever is an idiot, so that is exactly what Trump is going to do, with the help of his herd of toadies.

In the meantime, people can’t really book tickets with enough lead time to make it affordable, if they don’t know the destination airport, so attendance will suffer (outside of the wingnuts who follow his effluence in RVs like a Grateful Dead caravan).
