First of all, I didn’t realize it was actually named “the Big Beautiful Bill”, I assumed that’s just what the dotard calls it, because, well, he’s an idiot. Did they let someone’s 5 yr old name the bill?
Oh, think I just answered my own question.
Chip Roy is my representative, despite never having voted for him, and I guess when he retires the surrounding neighbors will go ahead and elect Rep Robespierre, (R) TX. The fact that there is an entire caucus of people like him whose main objection to the bill is that it isn’t cruel enough to the poor is mortifying.

The bill may be big, but it ain’t beautiful. When the ignorant MAGAts who swallowed the Trump populist/culture purple Kool-Aid find out that they are being hit in the pocketbook and lose benefits, it will be a rude awakening. But then, everything with Donnie is rude (and cruel).

The 2 cats in the picture I posted are rescues from here in Belize where I now live, I have another rescue cat I brought down here from Texas when I immigrated. And this beautiful dog named Gift is a rescue from down here who ended up staying with my best friend and former landlady. Rescue animals are the best possible pets, the magnitude of their love and devotion to their new friends is beyond imagination. I’m sure Holden lived up to that.

My only issue with irasdad post is in some if not most cases the word “threatening” should be replaced with “bribing”.
Which is an important difference between Democrats and Republicans. It is not that Democrats can’t be bribed, but if you are a schilling for billionaires and you lose your seat doing it, there is still a nice and maybe even a nicer living to be made.
The same cannot be said when representing people on Medicaid.
