GOP Ignores Witnesses While Using Time To Monologue

House Intelligence Committee ranking member Devin Nunes (R-CA) and GOP staff attorney Steve Castor seemed to have little use for the witnesses at Wednesday’s impeachment inquiry, preferring to use their time to advance sometimes baseless assertions of which the witnesses had no knowledge.

Castor “Lizard people from the core of the Earth have come to destroy the president with their mind rays. What is the name of these evil creatures?”

Taylor " I don’t know."

Castor “The ignorance of this so-called diplomat is a clear indication that he is lying about everything.”

Bad strategy because it gives the impression that-
-the witness is credible
-the testimony is true and thorough
-the testimony describes impeachment-level misdeeds
-they got nothing

Oh, wait

We are shocked–SHOCKED–that a campaign by the other party would pay to obtain opposition research on our party’s candidate, that was obtained by interviewing–gasp–FURRINERS! My god, the humanity! Have those people no decency?!?

Seriously, they’re actually arguing that Clinton paying FGPS for oppo research that had originally been commissioned by a conservative organization and which had mostly been completed by then, is not just wrong, but corrupt and illegal. That’s like saying that it’s wrong to read an op-ed in the WaPo that’s critical of Trump because it was critical of Trump. You’re allowed to read or say anything you like so long as it’s pro-Trump! I don’t know whether they’re trying to pull something with their idiot base and clueless swing voters or they actually believe this. With these cretins it’s hard to tell.

I would expect anyone but a diehard will quickly see through the tattic. Diehards are not watching to begin with. Diehards will take marching orders from faux noise.

Anyone that is surprised by the GOP at this late date simply hasn’t been paying attention.

The Republicans are stooges, they look like stooges and they question like stooges. As predicted they have nothing and have made it abundantly clear. Stooges.
