Hawley took it all in a disingenuously pro-feminist direction. He spun calls for Justice Thomas’ recusal as a misogynistic hit job against the Supreme Court justice’s wife by Democrats.
“The idea that Ginni Thomas is supposed to sign off on her texts and her work with her husband as if he’s in charge of her in some way — isn’t that misogyny? Isn’t that what the Democrats are always saying they’re against?” Hawley said.
According to federal law (28 USC §455):
a)
Any justice, judge, or magistrate [judge of the United States] shall disqualify himself in any [proceeding] in which his impartiality might reasonably be questioned.
(b) He shall also disqualify himself in the following circumstances:
(5) He or his spouse, or a person within the third degree of relationship to either of them, or the spouse of such a person:
(i)
Is a party to the [proceeding] or an officer, director, or trustee of a party;
(iii)
Is known by the judge to have an interest that could be substantially affected by the outcome of the [proceeding]
(iv)Is to the judge’s knowledge likely to be a material witness in the [proceeding](

Well, AOC has joined several other members of Congress in calling for is resignation. Pressure in that direction, including ever conceivable hint that the American Public has zero confidence in his abilities to do his job, all of that helps make that happen. Justice Thomas should spend the rest of his life in the Benghazi Barrel. Ditto for Kavanaugh. Justice Roberts needs to fully understand that the behavours of this Court are not appreciated by the vast majority of Americans.
