Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan (R) got candid on Tuesday when asked about President Donald Trump’s claim that there haven’t been issues with the chaotic testing system during the COVID-19 outbreak.
I’ve got a friend who is running testing at a large university in a southern state. He said they ran out of reagent for testing days ago and can’t even test.
The Trump admin and southern states (FL, GA, TN, TX, MS, AL, SC) don’t want to be testing b/c it’s going to show how f*cked those states are. I predict FL is going to spike hugely in the coming week to 14 days (and I’m not the only one).
Unfortunately, the Catch 22 here is that b/c they are hiding it, they are making it harder to stop once everyone catches on to their failures. And then those states are going to screw the rest of us who are doing the right thing now. We’ll all be in this longer.
They just can’t bring themselves to do the right thing up front. It’s lie, avoid, blame, lie, avoid blame. Oh shit!
There’s the issue of whether testing remains a problem. It remains a huge problem. So Trump’s wrong about that.
But there’s also the issue of whether Trump has heard about testing being a problem. Either he heard it, and ignored it, or he hasn’t heard. Both possibilities represent major problems. It seems very likely to me that he’s not hearing about the problem, because, duh, he could hardly have made it clearer that he doesn’t want to hear about problems. “We don’t like the complaints.”
Just one thread in the enormous weave of the Trumpworld clusterfuck in responding to this crisis.
So what is up with this. I know she said something a while back and what she is saying now is different and worse. And she also has been working for Sanders. Just interesting that nothing has come up here yet. I’m hoping bs for Biden and also for her. Granted if fake that’s not a good thing for her either, though maybe less bad.
