He’s right in the short term–Republican shenanigans have galvanized the champions of democracy. But unless this movement is extirpated (as by the elimination of the Republican Party), the ultimate effect will be to tire out those who are not most motivated to resist the assault on democracy, and to reduce turnout. Which is exactly what he and his colleagues want.
