The sad thing is the Republicans had a conservative, pro Trump candidate, Dr Cowan, who actually lived in the district. But the voters went for the Reality TV quality candidate.

I don’t think Pelosi wants Greene to stay in Congress, simply because Greene is too unserious and too much of a distraction.

Hold on for a minute there, Gabe. Speaking as a Democrat who used to be a Republican, I suppose there are a few Democrats who want what you suggest, but I also suspect that there are a very large number of us who think that we’re Americans, and we see Greene as someone who needs to be thoroughly repudiated and tossed in the garbage heap of history because she makes us ALL look bad.
So yeah, she’s “cray-cray” all right, but in America we have places where we put the stuff that’s rotting and stinks really bad, and it’s called the dump. It’s not supposed to be Congress.

Dems – and especially the press – need to hammer the GOP on this every single day.
Lots of Republicans in this Congress spout kook theory, but she’s the only one to spout public, explicit, and unapologetic anti-Semitism.
Either McCarthy, McConnell, and the rest of GOP leadership are on board with Jew-baiting, or they’re not.
Let’s get them on the record, by relentlessly and persistently bedeviling them with this question.

In regard to overstating Greene’s influence, that is not the question.
The question is the influence of “deplorables” within the GOP and how those deplorables would respond to the GOP supporting Greene being expelled from Congress. As to her being “primaried”, that is a completely different issue. But let me just say the GOP of today is far different than the pre-Gingrich (1990) GOP and that has much to do with its changing base, the process of racist Whites leaving the Dem Party over Civil Rights.

I am not speaking of the national GOP, only of the GA GOP. And they have a long history of preferring bland candidates. Johnny Isakson was their ideal. David Perdue was actually a pretty bland candidate, too before he got caught with insider trading.
They don’t like their politicians seeking headlines.
So sure, she may garner some national attention and even support. But the state party is going to be against her.
