I loved that book. I read it my senior year in college as a political science major in 1979.

I don’t think so. I think they didn’t want it announced until after primary season. From a mid term election standpoint I think their overreach may have screwed the pooch. GOPs can fuck up a royal flush. They are facing an extended period where their lawlessness is going to be displayed before the public on a daily basis. The messaging needs to be loud, factual, harsh, and distinctly clear. Even Magas should be able to get it. (maybe cartoons?)
