Michigan state House candidate Robert “RJ” Regan is pretty annoyed at how everyone’s making such a big deal over his ghoulish comparison of accepting the 2020 election results to telling his daughters to “just lie back and enjoy it” if they get raped.
Maybe if his daughters ever get raped they can let him know how well that strategy works.

Since Republicans seem to think that one state can enforce laws in another state (e.g., Missouri’s trying to keep its women from seeking abortions in other states), perhaps DeSantis should send his election brownshirts up into NC to investigate some voter fraud involving Mark Meadows.
It sounds like people are interpreting the Michigan guy’s remarks as advocating advice of lying back and taking it.
I read them differently. He seems to be saying that delusional Republicans (like him) are being told to do something that he considers analogous.
He doesn’t think a woman being raped should lie back and take it.
And he doesn’t think a person who has been fooled by My Pillow Head and Orange Mussolini should “lie back and take” Biden being president.
It’s still a gross comparison, and he’s either delusional or completely dishonest.
But I don’t think he’s saying women should put up with rape.

For me, the bigger issue is that the plan is not a “family plan”, but instead under his parents’ business account. Which means that they wrote-off Stephen’s personal phone as a business expense.
