Based on how SCOTUS is deciding these, the GOP request will be denied. Court imposed changes are being overruled, changes brought by the state or state agency’s are being upheld

asked that the Supreme Court to undo a six-day extension that the North Carolina State Board of Elections added to the state’s deadline for receipt of mail-in ballots.
It’ll be an easier call for the R’s on SCOTUS than having to repeat the Florida 2000 decision… that was just too obviously partisan.

Bet Roberts pushes for a decision before Barrett can be sworn in. Suspect he’ll side with the good guys. I think he has some sensitivity to the perilous position that he and others have got the court in.

It’s already unfixable except by adding Justices, something Biden seems happy to punt on in the hopes that everyone forgets about until he needs to rattle cages for the midterms.
