Google Fiber Installations Begin In Kansas City | Talking Points Memo

Google Fiber, the search giant’s ultra-highspeed (gigabit) Internet and TV service, on Tuesday began to be installed for registered residents of Kansas City, Kansas. Specifically, per its pre-registration period rules, Google has begun going down the list of its 180 qualified neighborhoods, or “fiberhoods,” in Kansas City, Kansas and Kansas City, Missouri, which had a high enough percent of their residents sign-up to meet Google’s own thresholds. The first qualified fiberhood to receive the new service is Hanover Heights.
