Goldman: ‘Very Frustrating’ To Get Tested | Talking Points Memo

Daniel Goldman, a lawyer who worked for Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and became a fixture during the House impeachment process and Senate trial, recalled the “very difficult” and “very frustrating” process involved in getting tested for coronavirus during an interview on MSNBC Monday.

Never stop saying it: Trump is blocking testing so the numbers won’t go up and they can toss the infected and dead into the “regular flu” column.

Actually, I think it is even worse than that…I think they are delaying testing until Kushner’s private testing company can ramp up…all about money for the orange turd.

Remember, it’s the Trump Pandemic.

Yup, and he refused to just buy the WHO or Korean or German or Chinese Covid-19 tests as he wanted to allow his son-in-law’s brother’s company to profit (and perhaps other donners) the business to be generated.

Toxic brew of his perceived political and family business profit.

We need a full joint committee of congress to investigate along with DOJ Trump and his familie’s handling of Covid-19 when Biden takes over.

Now Bernie, get lost, get lost now…

His story lines right up with at least 10 other anecdotes I have heard like this. I reject conspiracies, but it seems there is a total brain fart going on in the medical community with a lot of confusion over what the CDC guidelines are for testing added to a simple lack of tests and compounded by insurance companies not providing clear guidance on what criteria they are using to decide if they will reimburse for the testing. It is a massive fustercluck the likes of which can only happen in the American healthcare “system” being led by the Trump “administration”.

But it’s Obama’s fault because he initiated the Affordable Care Act

(Is Trump’s antipathy because he misunderstands it to be the Affrontable Hair Act?)

The fact that we’ve had people like Goldman working in tandem with the only trusted voices we have left in government leadership is heartening. But that doesn’t make me any less angry about his shoddy treatment. We absolutely have to protect the ACA and extend/expand its provisions to ensure medical care justice going forward.

This is the story, night and day.

Kick the stenographers and BothSiders out, give them emergency leave and get the word out that this Monster is Politicizing and Monetizing the greatest health threat in the nation’s history.

Mr. Goldberg, hope you and your wife’s immune systems are strong. Thank you for fighting for our democracy!

Trump is not only a national security risk but a health risk and financial risk to Americans because of his irresponsibility in dealing with Covid—19.

Beyond depravity and utter greed, Trump’s family is trying to profit from this pandemic while Trump himself tries to lure German CureVac vaccine maker for exclusivity and solely for Americans to have a cut of the profits! How disgusting is that!

When the history of this episode is written, a chapter will go to Scott Gottleib, who served as the FDA commissioner from 2017 to 2019. Basically, because certain manufacturers want to control the point-of-care testing business, the US got caught with inadequate testing capability when they needed it. Norway and Finland have already to moved to a lesser testing mode as the tracing of cases has become less important. You get tested when brought into the system and tested before discharge. On Friday, the Jack Ma Foundation sent 500,000 test kits to the US.

What it demonstrates is that part of this disaster is manmade. Gottleib’s negligence and greed compounded the harms from what is an obviously bad situation. I can’t say much about the current FDA, but it does seem to have finally come to life this month.

We need a “Truman Commission” after this is all over to prosecute the Profiteers wherever they are found.
Start at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., Washington D.C.

This is what happens when we elect Republicans. They run on the proposition that government doesn’t work, then set about to prove it once they’re elected. At the same time, they auger as much money to themselves and their business partners as possible.
