It’s an apocalyptic white-supremacist authoritarian cult.
Their God certainly has been diminished in their eyes. He seems to be constantly thwarted by his own creation. Think how much Christians would love this world if only they thought that this is all their God’s “will”. They are hemmed in by - and they have hemmed their God in with - their book. They are frozen in a Bible-created stasis.
This in a nutshell is taking place all over the country, anywhere authoritarians and theocrats (but I repeat myself) can apply enough pressure to exercise control of the franchise and the subsequent outcome of elections.

This is my biggest fear. You can’t out organize, shit, you can’t even out vote this nonsense.
And we’re gonna depend on “decent” Republicans to reject these Stalinist tactics ? They’re fucking paranoid & panicking.

It’s one way of confronting the inevitable but inevitable will win. There’s really no way you can rig American democracy. Certainly not this way. It seems the future’s not looking good for the GOP and they think they can force themselves on America. They can’t.

In 2018 Trump was investigated (The Mueller Investigation). The Special Counselor concluded that Trump had indeed broken the law, but since he was President, he was immune (as Trump said, ‘I can do anything I want’). However, Mueller said that when Trump was no longer President there were 10 indictable offenses he could be charged with.
November 2020, Trump was unelected. No longer President. Remember those 10 indictable offenses. January 06 Trump tried to overthrow the government. 2 reasons: 1) He told us in 2016 this was how it would be, if I am not elected I will seize power; 2) Remember those 10 indictable offenses?
Here we are in October. Trump could have/should have been arrested 20JAN. Instead he is running a shadow government. He has paid and will not pay any consequences. Not for those 10 indictable offences, not for the violent coup attempt 06JAN.
They continue to eat there own. Maybe soon there will only be one left.

They best hope the God they yak about does not exist. One of the things He said pisses Him off is “Taking My name in vain” and that’s what all this name dropping God is.

I know where these people are coming from. The America they are against is far more easy-going, and, therefore, underestimated.
This is Bannon panicking, I think: he’s ratcheting up the rhetoric because he’s starting to think that his blackmail against Trump isn’t going to keep his carbuncled ass out of jail.
Well they’re not going to get it. You can’t pull off a scam if folks are on to it before you make your first move.
