There is no unity with this version of the so-called “Republican” party. They taint everything they touch because they hugged Trump so tightly and he taints everything he touches. Why would you want unity with a huge steaming pile of bullshit?
The unity will occur if all those who enabled Trump resign and let the voters choose other representatives more in line with the old Republican party. I’d even accept Newt Gingrich types over these assholes since at least you got what you saw and you could defeat them fair and square.

I think Biden needs to clearly and forcefully tell McCarthy that the days of tolerating this bullshit are over. Wrong doers will be held accountable and better angels will return when Republicans begin speaking and acting in good faith.

Yep. It was one of those things where they say, “Any volunteers please step forward,” and everyone else stepped back leaving McCarthy standing alone. We all saw Boehner and Ryan ditch the gavel as quickly as they reasonably could. No one wanted to be GOP House leader under Trump/Freedumb Caucus misrule.
