Giuliani: State Dept. Asked Me To Meet With Ukrainian Prez’s Aide | Talking Points Memo

No. We need to house them in the detention facility that they are keeping immigrants in. Crammed together for maximum discomfort.

Why would anyone want Guiliani to speak to anyone? I’m pretty sure that he’s the last on the list of the State Department’s “People to Call When They Need Delicate Negotiations Done” list.

Nobody will believe this except the koolaid drinkers. It’s just Ghouliani blowing smoke.

And we taxpayers funded his first class airfare etc as well

Just exactly who keeps calling up and saying; “Send Rudy out to speak for us. He’s clearly the sharpest knife in our kitchen drawer!”:man_facepalming::man_facepalming::man_facepalming:

I guess it’s possible that State picked up the tab for Rudes’ travel, but that seems like a stretch.

Giuliani probably imagines himself as consigliere to the Don but he’s just another fixer like Cohen: paying off women or bribing foreign pols, what’s the diff.

Nobody says that. They trot Rudy out to fling poo and make a spectacle of himself because it’s a distraction from the actual news.

And hoping that the unpaid fixer gig lets him shake loose some deals of his own. The Michael Cohen comparison is quite apt.

If the State Dept needs Rudy, we are really, really screwed. Perhaps Trump is trying to set up someone in the State Dept to take the fall. If I was in Trumps Administration, I would be looking for a way out.

It’s the STATE DEPARTMENT’s FAULT? Just who ARE these mythical agencies that somehow are separate from Trump? WTF? BLAME BLAME BLAME anyone, anything.

Rudy is that crazy uncle who was supposed to be with Davy Crocket at the Alamo … but his train was delayed in Dallas … was on this way to meet with Archduke Ferdinand to discuss important matters of great impact … but … his GPS did not work …

Now just remember that the President and the State Department have used people outside the current governmental officials to conduct talks. With that said I believe those outside of government were working talks with NoKo but to send Rudy who is/isn’t, depending on what universe we are living in at that precise moment, to talk to Yermak about what? We aren’t at war with Ukraine, does Ukraine have citizens being held hostage by some country that the US could be the go between? I doubt any logical explanation, especially since Rudy is the guy they sent, Rudy keeps opening his mouth, and admitting what think happened was right.

Yep. If true, that still doesn’t clear him or Trump.

Shorter Giuliani: “Boy is it lonely in this hole. Where’s Captain Rapture when I need him? Come on in, the dirt’s fine!”

Best feature of this bunch is that they can’t get together in a room and work out one lie and stick to it because the head perp, even though he’s 300 lbs of pure shit, doesn’t stick to anything.

Does he think this makes it better? That widening the conspiracy is exculpatory? Is he really this stupid, or is it a grand plan to destroy any notion that the Executive can act lawlessly? I lean toward the former.

As stupid as he’s been called, he’s not suffered for it. In fact, none of them have. This dood, along with his master, walk around saying “Stop me before I kill again!” all day long with nothing occurring. And the talking heads, particularly on MSNBC hear that and opine, “Hmm, if true, that could/might/maybe be a problem.”

No one has paid a price for anything. Even the two known bit players who went to jail did so for a short time and are all rested and relaxed.

Their criminal behavior seems to be more and more acceptable the longer this continues. It’s the breakdown in norms that began with his election and continues unabated.

This is revenge of the mustache, who, as I recall, was no friend of Pompeo. In fact, didn’t Pompeo gloat when Bolton got axed?

Time to lawyer up, Mr Secretary.
