Rudy Giuliani lashed out at the House GOP’s staff lawyer in the impeachment inquiry after the attorney made a subtle move to pin the Ukraine pressure campaign solely on Giuliani.
Giuliani’s position is somewhat indefensible so, at some point, he’ll probably figure out that his only hope is to turn on Trump. The question is, how long will that take? I’ll give him two days.
This is the part where they start attacking each other because enough information is out to implicate them all and they will try to save their asses. If this was a criminal case, the investigators could turn one of them against another, unfortunately they will probably still hide behind the immunity BS and hope that nothing else damages them. The Democrats are doing a good job pointing out that all of these people refuse to come out and testify to clear up things, that makes them look even more suspicious.
Doesn’t Congress have the ultimate option of leveling contempt charges and significant fines against those absolutely unwilling to testify? I cannot think of a circumstance more important to find the truth about than if our POTUS has bribed a foreign government for his own personal gain…
Trump has a long standing pattern. If he says today that Rudy is a good man, expect in a week he will barely know him. And a week after that he is a rat. Rudy doesn’t have long before Trump’s screws hit soft tissue.
