GIuliani Calls Steve Hilton A ‘Jerk’ | Talking Points Memo

Rudy Giuliani doubled down on his threat to sue Fox News host Steve Hilton, who called the President’s personal lawyer an “unethical disaster,” during a Wednesday night interview on Sinclair TV.

Being called a disgrace by Giuliani… well that’s the highest praise about your ethics that I can think of!

What is that old saying “The Truth Hurts?”

“I know Times [v.] Sullivan, I’ve litigated libel cases,” Giuliani said.

Citations please.

The guy Jailiani is complaining about is a FoxNews host.

So there are no ethics being considered here.
Rudy is just continuing to piss into the wind.

The claim that I’m making money is false, defamatory, untrue, and he was too damn lazy to check it out.

Rudy has a point here. He isn’t making money off of any of these deals, he’s merely replacing the money that his soon-to-be ex-wife is taking him for in divorce court right now.

Not really, Hinton is as big a POS as Giuliani describes him. It’s just that Hinton believes that that pressure can be removed from the Pestilent if some of the crooks around him gets thrown under the bus. Although there are plenty crooks to choose from, Hinton thinks that because of his visibility Giuliani will make the best splatter in the pavement, something that obviously Giuliani disagrees with.

““The claim that I’m making money is false, defamatory, untrue,…”

I’m too shitty of a lawyer and businessman to make money in anything I do…

I’m more amazed at Rudy questioning why FOX would let this man have an opinion. What HOLD does Guiliani think he and Trump have OVER FOX? And then Rudy wants to sue Hilton…for WHAT? Telling the TRUTH? Having an OPINION?

When the defendants demand Rudy’s books during the discovery phase of the trial we’ll see what the truth is. Rudy better be declaring all his foreign earnings honestly or the IRS will not be pleased.

“I know Times [v.] Sullivan, I’ve litigated libel cases,” Giuliani said. “Sounds to me that he went over the line, went over the line in being malicious and being reckless. And I’m going to consider a lawsuit against him, because he’s not even man enough to apologize for his laziness.”

Oh please Rudy, file this suit. I desperately want to see you get in front of a judge with your claim that being labeled “unethical” in public is libel. And I think we’d all enjoy a look into your finances as you seek to disprove the claims that you’re making money off your Ukrainian corruption adventures.

Perhaps the most incredible/annoying thing about this era of proto-fascism we find ourselves in is how many of the main actors are those rich kid turds that constantly threaten to sue you over any perceived slight or disagreement.

“Methinks the lady doth protest too much”

When Nosferudytu claims you “libeled” him, that means you finally found the truth.

Rudy is insane. But so are Larry Klayman and Steven Biss, so I look forward to this lawsuit.

Interesting. If Rudy is a government official, there should be a First Amendment issue here. If he isn’t, then his activities in the Ukraine and elsewhere contravene the Logan Act, surely?

So Rudy, spoken defamation is called “slander”, written defamation is called “libel”. Also, how is senility going for you.

We await the opening of Giuliani & Associates’ books that prove all financial dealings are above board, with taxes paid, and lobbying-for-foreign-govt. docs are perfectly filed.

(We will be waiting forever…)

Giuliani is working for Trump for free and Trump is working for America for free.

That this story appeared in the morning was confusing to me, until I realized it describes events that took place after dinner NYC time. That’s prime Rudy time.
