Gingrich was attacking Romney for being too strident on immigration — Romney has staked out a more right leaning position on the issue, arguing for a policy that would deport ilegal immigrants. But Gingrich disagreed, saying “I do believe that if there’s some level of humanity for people who have been here a long time.”
