I remember the polio vaccines - we got them at school. I don’t have a clear memory of the shot but I definitely remember the sugar cubes.
We all got measles, mumps, and chicken pox because there were no vaccines for them at the time. My sister got scarlet fever, too. People don’t know how good they’ve got it that their children don’t have to go through that any more.

A Texas driver ended up dead Wednesday night after crashing her vehicle and then firing shots at three people who tried to come to her aid, according to a report.
One would-be Good Samaritan died and two others were hospitalized in critical condition, FOX 29 of San Antonio reported.
As for the gun-wielding driver, who was in her 20s or 30s, a nearby neighbor shot her dead after coming to the defense of the three Good Samaritans who were fired upon, FOX 29 reported.
FFS. Obviously the idea is to get the ice cream home without getting stuck in traffic.
The comment section on that article are all RWers joyously preaching that the good neighbor with a gun proves that guns solve everything. Nevermind that none of that would be necessary if the driver didn’t have a gun. That thought never enters their mind.
The sensible majority in this country is going to have to stop being so god-damned polite and tell these people enough is enough. People killing their kids because of Qanon, shooting people who come to help them after a traffic accident, screaming at doctors who’ve been trying to keep their neighbors and kids alive, this won’t do. This will not fucking do. Some people need to sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up.
