Georgia Voters Break Sunday Record As They Settle Last Senate Race Of The Midterms

As Monday ushers in a stretch of statewide, early, in-person voting in Georgia, runoff voters have already broken a turnout record amid the more sporadic voting opportunities over the weekend.

Cue the screaming of rampant voter fraud…

Of course, it’ll only be against the Dems - the GQPers haven’t begun to show up yet.

The Sunday turnout of 86,937 voters was 130% higher than the previous Sunday record of 37,785 set on October 25, 2020.

Vote early! Vote often!

Good, promising start for the Ds, but the key will be for Warnock to retain the 29% of white voters he got in round 1 (or higher). If he does, he’ll win. That’s the measure, not the relative size of the EV per county. Folks do vote on e-day and the GOP will vote on this run off e-day.

Not funny (especially in this day and age). JUST - vote early and bring a friend with you, will work just fine.

Good sign.

Hard for the right wing crazies to complain inasmuch as this is all in-person voting.

I don’t have a problem with this at all on just about any level … except … tax law. Won’t they lose their 501(c )(whatever) IRS status that lets them avoid a lot of taxes?

The Sunday turnout of 86,937

is 75,157 more votes than Trump needed.

Piss off. We will not permit them to deny us our humor, and mocking their voter fraud tropes is entirely appropriate.

It’s hard to forget how many votes he needed.

Georgia faith leaders sent an open letter Monday, urging African American voters towards Warnock.

“We believe Herschel Walker belongs in the Football Hall of Fame Brain-Injury Unit of a Truama Center, but absolutely nowhere near the United States Senate,” they wrote.

Fixed.

(And it gives me no great pleasure to say that.)

You realize that every single vote that is not for a Republican candidate is fraudulent, right?

(p.s. this is snark, I am making fun of the GOP’s chronic sore loser syndrome (CSLS))

Yup - the shorthand for snark is [/s]… one doesn’t have to apologize with that.

Edwin Everett Hale served as the Chaplain of the Senate around the turn of the century. When asked if he prayed for the Senators, he replied, “After seeing the Senators, I daily pray for our country.”

Anyone else wish they were in that line?
Play some Zydeco and I bet it’d break out into a line dance.

I hope they do…scream fraud. That will lead to an “audit” and the realization that no fraud occurred. This has to happen over and over…until folks get sick of spending their tax bucks and fairy tales and being lied to.

I do hope the voters in Georgia have the good sense to voter for the candidate who has a functioning brain. The right guy to vote for would be Rev. Warnock in my opinion.

They will never accept the results of any audit they don’t run themselves - there is no independent audit firm whose results they will accept, unless it finds rampant fraud by the Dems. Otherwise, the audit is rigged and must be ignored.

There is no appeasing these people - they are sore losers with all the emotional integrity and honesty of a three year old.
