Georgia Republicans Put Their Yearslong Fani Willis Payback Scheme Into Motion

A handful of Georgia Senate Republicans filed a complaint against Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis with the state’s Prosecuting Attorneys Qualifications Commission, a new state-run panel with authority to investigate and oust local district attorneys that officially formed at the beginning of the month.

In other words, racist GA politicians (aka the GOP) will do their damnedest to convince every black voter in GA to turn out and vote against them. Good work neoConfederate MAGAsses!

The bill they pretended wasn’t to do this very thing, when we all knew it was.

Ah, the ol’ GOP standby: If you can’t win fairly, cheat.

A corollary is “If the truth just won’t do, lie.”

These horse’s asses can wait in line.

I’m still waiting for tRump to tell Judge Chutkan why he thinks the law doesn’t apply to him.

[Republicans] who pushed for new policy to enact control over district attorneys whose enforcement they didn’t like.

Good for them, if most district attorneys in Georgia are liberal Democrats. If not, the law makes MAGA DA’s the equivalent of ducks in a barrel.

Trumpism will be short-lived.

OT:

I have just learned that Trump’s business licenses were all revoked in New York.

I’ve been away from TPM for a little while, don’t know if it got mentioned. Seems like kind of a big deal, though.

So spechul …no one in the history of mankind has ever been this spechul. … not even Jeebus Hisownself cuz he got crucified after all and that couldn’t have felt good.

If we can’t win fairly, it’s the VOTERS who are wrong, cheat.

These people truly believe they are God’s Chosen so can’t be wrong and everything they do is already justified before the Lord.

They have their own language, where words mean what they say they mean, and they can change the meaning at any time.

One last thing: this is more about the GOP elected officials that have been touched by the Trump investigation.

The GOP conservatives are just plain nuts.

From the AJC article:

Quelle surprise that after the Judge rejected the lawsuit based on no ‘immediate and irreparable injury’, a bunch of Republicans provide such basis for injury. It’s almost like the Judge was being intentionally thick regarding the obvious reasons behind the law.

Performative bullshit. Will have no effect on Willis’ work.

There is a stay on that order. Trump’s lawyers filed for for the stay, and AG James’ team didn’t oppose it. In fact, they said that they would have asked for a stay if The Fat Guy’s team had ot.

The guy says elections aren’t won by a majority? Well, if 45% of eligible voters bother to vote that is not a majority. But that is not how elections are decided. If in an election one gets 1000 votes and another 2000 then the person with the most votes wins. So Mr Weyrich can blow it out his porthole.

Tell me again how people who are SOOO worried about the voters committing voter fraud are willing to accept and defend elections fraud and tampering with voting equipment?

It’s a partial judgment, and so not under appeal yet while the rest of the case is being decided, but the partial judgment was stayed pending the resolution of the case in anticipation of appeal.
