How much you want to bet that at least three quarters of the 425 fraudulent newly-registered voters who had voted in another state’s Senate elections are Republicans?
I say this because a little while back there was a Republican Florida lawyer named Bill Price who, in a speech before a GOP group, suggested that Florida Republicans should register to vote in Georgia. This is illegal, by Georgia state law. Then he went one step further and, after announcing in public how he thought violating the law to cheat in an election was a swell idea, he actually went ahead and did it in his own name! Here’s an article on an Atlanta teevee station’s website complete with video telling about it, and here’s an article in the N. Y. Post about how he’s now under investigation by the Georgia election supervisors.
Now that he’'s in trouble, by the way, he’s claiming “It was just a joke! ha ha where’s your sense of humor, you libs?”
I think this is going to end up being correct, but it’s possible that Trump is just proof of concept. I worry about who the next transgressive celebrity asshole might be, but I don’t see any obvious candidates who might be able to rile up the otherwise non-voting rubes. And despite those extra 11 million voters who showed up in 2020 to vote for their orange God-Emperor, I am cautiously hopeful that the extra 15 million people who showed up for Joe and Kamala are going to be more likely to keep voting in the years ahead.
ETA: Having thought about it for an additional 60 seconds, the obvious profile for the transgressive asshole celebrity candidate is Fucker Carlson or somebody else out of the Fox Cinematic Universe.
Wish I could say you are wrong about this, but fear that it is, in fact, all too likely. He wants to booby trap the presidency on the way out the door.
The number of serious targets I read was something like 13,000, not all government. Way more than that on their client list, which is not available for public view.
Although IANAL, as a proud patriotic voting American citizen, I believe it is long past time for the courts to start sanctioning these GOP motherfuckers. These lawsuits, along with ones being perpetrated by Powell, Wood, and Roodles, are ridiculous, solely politically motivated, and a waste of the courts’ time.
Last night on Twitter, I saw some MAGA people going after Devin Nunes, of all people, because he’d had the temerity to say his colleagues in Congress perhaps shouldn’t be challenging the results of the Electoral College.
Apparently, sycophancy to Trump isn’t measured on some sort of aggregate scale; it’s more like a Schrodinger’s Cat thing: "Are you licking Trump’s boots sufficiently well now, at this very moment? Well, okay then. But if we open the box and see you slacking off . . . "
Bibi’s all in on it, and knows it’s his last shot to do something like that, because Biden would nix it.
While we don’t know precisely why Bibi went to Saudi, getting overflight permissions for a raid would be just the sort of things high-level talks can bring.
