Georgia Republicans Had This Fani Willis Revenge Plan In The Works For Two Years

The Associated Press published a story last night headlined: Kemp signs Georgia law reviving prosecutor sanctions panel. Democrats fear it’s aimed at Fani Willis. The piece announces the news that Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R) signed a new law Wednesday that will allow the state’s Prosecuting Attorneys Qualifications Commission to begin disciplining and even ousting local prosecutors it deems to have gone “rogue.”

Isn’t the Willis DQ decision due tomorrow?

If a bucket of sick could be a political party, it would be the GOP.

On the subject of the Republican nominee to be North Carolina Superintendent of Schools shows once more that many people are not qualified mentally to vote. Personally, I hope she wins, because I don’t give shit about the Tarheel State, and could less if most of their children grow up on an equal plane intellectually with a fishing worm.

If we had a judicial system that was truly judicious and all about upholding the laws as founded and based in our constitution this wouldn’t be worth a bag of spit.

But we don’t, certainly not uniformly across the land. Not when the greatest arbiters of our laws are so clearly contemptuous of the universality of our Constitution, not all of them but a majority, certainly when most needed.

If they rule Trump, as President always, immune to the laws of the land, Biden should have that turd arrested immediately as a clear and present danger, tried and convicted by a military tribunal, and executed. Because if it applies to Trump then it applies to Joe. What they gonna do, arrest him?

But tell us how you really feel…

Seems odd to have an elected position subject to removal by a small group of political opponents, but I can be a little weird like that.

Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA)

Georgia’s representative is legislating to help criminals evade the courts. That’s the crime problem they’re constantly complaining about.

Republicans are soft on crime.

Like immigration, they want more of it. They’ll just legislate their own security services. Cost is no object.

It will be amusing to watch how they convert the rules of a commission whose alleged purpose is to “ensure rogue and incompetent prosecutors are held accountable if they refuse to uphold the law,” into a tribunal to persecute district attorneys who are upholding the law in a manner they don’t like. I expect the commission rules will be based on the well known Humpty Dumpty principle: “When I use a word, it means just what I choose it to mean – neither more nor less.”

And everyone in the media was saying about Kemp, “He’s very conservative but he’s not crazy”.

Think again.

As always, when they tell you who they are, believe them.

Aileen Cannon didn’t go too far…yet.

Judge Cannon rejects Trump’s attack on the Espionage Act

But as @txlawyer has suspected, she may well tank the case later:

She did say Trump could raise the issue later “in connection with jury-instruction briefing and/or other appropriate motions.”

… kinda chilling - more & more bare knuckles stuff … stuff with a take control no matter what it takes … this is orders of magnitude rougher stuff than the underhanded dirty tricks takedown of Dan Rather … this seems both personal … and brute power play.
