What sort of judge is Brasher?
Just wondering…
so true
Anyone who sez
“they are all the same”
has a moral compass, and cognitive abilities so severely flawed they do not merit a civil response.
Apparently Republican politicians want the cover of a subpoena before they will do the right thing. What a bunch of gutless wonders.
Well, if the worst happens, we will pour a six pack of your favorite beer on your gravesite and sing a few silly songs.
he died doing what he loved
Wonder if the Grand Jury will be looking at Miss Lindseys calls to the election officials.
Just think, they could share a cell…
Indeed. He has too many bullets to dodge. At least one will strike him and once convicted, up to him to show he should not have been. Tax fraud case could be his Waterloo.
- Failure to file a tax return, false withholding exemptions, delivering or disclosing false tax documents: A maximum sentence of one year in prison and/or fines of $100,000, plus all taxes …
- Conspiracy to defraud with respect to false refund claims: A maximum of 10 years in prison and $250,000 in fines
- Filing or preparing a false tax return: Three years in prison and $250,000 in fines
- Tax evasion, failure to pay taxes, conspiracy to commit a tax offense or conspiracy to defraud: A maximum of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine
The thought of him with a conviction makes me smile.

Devil in GA fiddlin’ away. And to think it has the status of Amazin’ Grace. Ugh.
The amount of back taxes owed has to be in 7 or 8 figures, that alone will kill the family business and make paupers of his kids. They could also have their own jail terms to serve and fines levied against them. I think that @karlslewis should hang on long enough to see that, I know I want to be around to have a long-term serious gloat.

Trump’s net worth estimated by Forbes is $2.5 billion dollars. Not paper assets, most of it is real estate. A 7 or 8 figure tax settlement wouldn’t make much of a dent in that, especially paid over time.
Look, I know it’s a constant theme here in TPM that Trump is bankrupt or close to it, because that would be schadenfreude-delicious. But it’s just not true. He’s sitting on ultra valuable real estate in NYC and elsewhere. He has properties with solid income from rentals, hotel bookings, resort and golf club memberships. The pandemic has put a dent in that, but he still has plenty of money.
Gloats are good for the soul when gloating over condign punishments.
Georgia’s Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis requested a special grand jury in her election interference investigation…
Hopefully a Federal Grand Jury is looking into whether or not Twitler did manage to get other folks in states other than Georgia to go along with this sedition.
I once knew a bit of FORTRAN…
Seems big. Once that special grand jury is convened, subpoenas issue and the targets won’t have much of a legal basis to refuse compliance.
Church Lady has got to be one of the most brilliant comedy creations of all times.
But unfortunately the governor will pardon him if this starts to get traction.
Seems like a reasonable prediction, assuming the players don’t become radioactive, so to speak. I would hope any evidence will be available for federal investigations if such arise.
I’d love to see him serve five years in a state prison…
Me too!
Will this be available on Pay per View?
Gotta do something about that National Debt, amirite? We can call it “synergy”!
