Georgia Closes Probe Into Kemp’s Baseless 2018 Claim Of Dem Election Hacking | Talking Points Memo

A memorandum from the Georgia Attorney General’s office confirmed this week what many suspected all along.

Says as much about the folks that voted for Kemp as Kemp himself who lied and continues to lie. It seems like a a lot of Georgians are cool with lying miscreants.

And truly an outcome that could have been predicted. Mr. Kemp is simply another Republican hack who will do almost anything to restrict the vote and cater to conspiracies. I was quite disappointed when Ms. Abrams was unable to defeat the guy. He deserved to be humiliated at the polls…but this is Georgia, I guess.

Kemp’s strategy:

“Kemp made the allegations just days before his gubernatorial election, where he was facing a competitive race against Stacey Abrams”

Fox News will have to cover this extensively, so that Trump can take note of it.

“Billie, we can just announce a couple days before the election totally unfounded, baseless claims Biden is being investigated for election fraud!! It’s not even illegal to do it! Who knew?!!”

Sherman’s mandate was entirely too limited in scope.

I read they ordered new voting machines for the state. I understand the new ones do not leave a paper trail either… anyone know?

I just looked it up:

Mandi Smith, director of Forsyth County’s voter registrations and elections department, recently gave Forsyth County News a demonstration of the new machines, which unlike the previous system will include a printed receipt after votes are cast.

Well Fox News is an “entertainment” network.

“We appreciate the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and Attorney General’s Office for investigating a failed cyber intrusion before the November 2018 election,” Kemp spokeswoman Candice Broce said in a statement. “And by ‘failed cyber intrusion,’ we mean one that we totally invented out of whole cloth extruding from our asses.”

“More importantly, we are grateful that the systems put in place by Brian Kemp as Georgia’s Secretary of State kept voter data safe and secure from made-up things that did not happen at all,” Broce’s statement also said.

Even if Trump is removed, these malefactors and others like them across the country will still be there. Gonna take years before we get nice things.

This, right here, is what is wrong with our voting system…cheating Republicans who break the rules to keep minorities from voting and work behind the scenes to control the offices that get the machines and run the election. GA in 2018 was a totally corrupt election, and it’s even more frustrating that Kemp and the Republicans got away with it and are in position to cheat with two Senate seats up for grabs. Hopefully, the Democrats get a huge voter turnout and can win back the Senate seats, followed by the governor in 2022, and then turn to clearing out the corruption in the system.

Appomattox should have had a Sherman asterisk.

“It’s all over. Except for Sherman. He can keep at it.”

This gaslighting fuckery is a baked-in Republican ingredient. And these people in-breed. I swear … it’s like Georgia inherited the detritus left over from Lee Atwater’s cronies.
