The U.S. attorney prosecuting the case against freshman Rep. George Santos (R-N.Y.) has indicated they are involved in discussions on how to resolve the case. However, in a series of texts to TPM, Santos insisted those talks have nothing to do with a potential plea deal on charges related to his campaign finances and false statements he made in official filings.
Looks like Georgey might be getting his custom made orange jumpsuit ready for his big reveal as a felon and leaving Congress. What a well documented piece of shit.
If Santos wants people to think he’s not working on a plea deal, he should tell them that he IS working on a plea deal. Everyone assumes that everything he says is a lie. Let’s just hope, however, that he never speaks the words “I am Lying,” or the world’s computers will melt down …
“How many times do I have to tell you media vultures? I am NOT working on a plea deal! Look, the court ordered me not to talk publicly about a plea deal that might be in progress, so, NO, I am not working on a plea deal.”
