Rep. George Santos (R-NY), the freshman congressman who’d become mired in scandal when much of his resume was exposed as fraudulent, has been charged with seven counts of wire fraud, three counts of money laundering, one count of theft of public funds, and two counts of making materially false statements to the House of Representatives, according to the indictment.

“Criminal-ish” – Couldn’t happen to a more disgusting fraud.

Let’s never forget that Republican House leadership was warned about Santos and that they seated him anyway. George Santos is Kevin McCarthy’s problem.

HaHa Nelson style. One less vote. How long does this all take to throw him into prison?

And it is a good start.
May be more will be found?

So, is this going to affect his re-election campaign? Also, what about those lifetime benefits he was trying to get after retiring from Congress? Oh, wait… he won’t need those in prison since free food, lodging and healthcare are part of the deal there.

Never mind.

They say he’s facing twenty years. Figure an early out for good behavior and he will still be young enough when he comes out to run for the Senate and get the lifetime bennies.

Qevin has principles? Since when?? Good luck, George Anthony Devolder Santos; I sincerely hope you will soon be experiencing a change of zip code, preferably for the next 15-20. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out, scumbag.

The hits just keep a comin’. Every day turns a new disgraceful page in the history of the current Republican party.

This decreases old Qevin’s majority a little! Thus increasing the odds of the Sane Congresspeople (largely “D” at this point) getting the necessary “R” votes to ram through a clean debt ceiling increase.

Win-win!

He may not resign. Yet. And I doubt McCarthy will ask him to.

Am looking forward to hearing about how he is able to inspire awe in his fellow inmates with tales of his violent criminality.

Only way he resigns is if he makes a deal to plead guilty, which would be the smart thing for him to do if he wants to not spend a decade in jail.
