Republican senators are concerned about the Medicaid reforms included in the House’s reconciliation package.
In other words, the Republican House is proposing a budget to make everything worse. Cuts. No talk of what they will build.
Biden built infrastructure. Biden created jobs. Biden made America competitive. I thought Trump was supposed to be some kind of construction mogul.

Time for hubby and I to apply for Canadian citizenship. We found out that Canada already considers us to be Canadians since each of us has a parent born in Canada. Probably won’t move there but it is an escape we might have to use.
Everyday is worse than the last.

You might look into immigrating to Belize as I did. It’s also a member of the British Commonwealth and Belize is very welcoming to both American and Canadian citizens with many perks. And there are many Canadians down here, some as part time snowbirds and some as full time permanent residents.Having mailbox money of some sort helps as work visas are very hard to come by, the government of Belize is dedicated to providing jobs for it’s citizens over jobs for immigrants. Actually commendable the way its practiced.

Trump seems to have taken a turn toward the more unhinged in the last week. Rick Wilson thinks his dementia is kicking in hard and he may not know who he is before too long. This 50% tariff of the EU and this Bill of Attainder stuff with Apple and Mattel is just bizarre. Does anyone really think this is rational and will lead anywhere good for anyone ?
The Democrats should really start leaning on the GOP to do their duty to the country and start proceedings to remove Trump under the 25th Amendment.
What do the Democrats have to lose at this point ? Trump is nuts and out of control and the GOP is too gutless to do anything about it. The Democrats should do whatever they can to make both these facts as plain as day to the American public.

That would be an interesting diversion. It’d be more interesting if the House and Senate just expelled their maga members as well. The gop has been working towards this outcome for decades though. They’re “winning”. Plus, Vance et al are comfortable substitutes…plenty more where they came from, too.

Vance may be intrinsically worse than Trump, but I think there’s an extrinsic factor that outweighs that: I doubt the R congresscritters are afraid of Vance’s incendiary power on Trump’s base. If we were to wager on how many MAGAts Vance could move to support primary opponents to incumbent Rs, I’d take the under.
