Gaetz Wingman Greenberg Seeks To Push Back Sentencing Hearing To Keep Helping Feds

Rep. Matt Gaetz’s (R-FL) indicted buddy has more to say.

Former Florida tax collector Joel Greenberg, who has pleaded guilty to sex trafficking in connection to the federal investigation into Gaetz, filed a motion on Tuesday to delay his sentencing hearing to give him more time to cooperate with prosecutors.

Ruh roh. I guess he’s just got too much to tell prosecutors, so much so that it’s going to take some time to get through it all.

Just hoping that he’s not employing the Michael Flynn Strategy here. Seems to me he could cooperate even more easily from a jail cell, but that’s just me.

I keep hoping he’ll take DeSantis down, too, while he’s at it. There is no question that DeSantis is dirty; it’s just the particulars that are missing.

I am a born skeptic. One wonders what Greenberg has yet to reveal that he couldn’t have already made known. He is, after all, a skilled manipulator and has pleaded guilty to sex trafficking and identity theft.

Let’s not get another Flynn thing out of this.

If the guy is giving legitimate evidence in the Gaetz case, fine. But no BS. It’s either good or it isn’t and it needs to keep flowing.

My take is that it’s not so much what he is revealing; it’s how much time is required to verify what he said is true and of value. That could still be a work in progress. If he has documentation to back his claims up, so much the better.

Clearly, you don’t understand how meritocracy works. You must be one of those people who makes under $500,000 a year or has too much non-European genetic material floating around in cell structures…

Gaetz, Gosar, Greene, Trump, Gohmert, Boebert, the list of rot goes on . . .

The ones who are not traitors are cowards.

Personally, I take great pleasure in the fact that the longer this drags out, the longer Gaetz suffers, not knowing when the inevitable anvil is gonna drop on him.

All this means is that the feds are still willing to track down corroborating evidence for whatever stories Greenberg is telling them, and Greenberg is still hoping to get credit for whatever they can corroborate. In the interim, it’s all just time served against his mandatory minimum 10-year sentence.

Still, as always:

Run, Ginger! Run!

Yeah, they’ll need time to verify details, then come back to him to say ‘ok, that checks out, so now give us the rest’ and then verify that so they can determine just how helpful he’s being.

I may never use the phrase - this is great news for John McCain again.

Speaking of DeSantis - he’s taken to vetoing unanimously passed bipartisan bills now.
