Gaetz: ‘Weird’ Giuliani Is In Ukraine | Talking Points Memo

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) is just as puzzled as many of us are about Rudy Giuliani’s trip to Ukraine this week while the impeachment inquiry ramps up.

“I think it’s a little weird Rudy Giuliani is in the Ukraine right now,” Gaetz said

…and immediately followed that with, “Did I say that out loud?”

When things get too weird for Matt Gaetz, …

So much dance around in this production, does Trump think he’s Busby Berkely?

Shouldn’t it be “When things get too weird for Matt Gaetz, Floridah Man…”

… the President even encouraged me to meet with foreign leaders and carry a message now and then outside of the official channels …

Tell us more, Matt!

After Cuomo responded by saying that he doesn’t think the former New York City mayor is “the problem,”

No, Chris, Rudes is definitely a problem. That said, I do agree that he’s not the main problem - that’s Donald Trump.

So while it’s like comparing, say, a screaming case of the shits to ebola, no one would say that the former isn’t a problem.

Isn’t Rudy just shopping for a hard drive with DNC carved on the case? So hard to find locally.

Rudy Giuliani’s Ukraine road trip is to save himself from indictment. It’s possible it has little to do with Trump. Guiliani must know he’s in legal jeopardy and an indictment is imminent.

Gidley denied having “spoken with him about that directly” but that “obviously Rudy Giuliani can speak for himself, he’s the President’s personal attorney.”

And as the President’s personal attorney, he also speaks for and represents Trump when he’s involved in Trump-related corruption and criminality.

It’s happening right in front of your stupid face, Gaetz.

Rudy’s trip will be great fodder for questioning under oath at a Senate trial. And there’s the issue of his cancelling a trip to Ukraine a while back. What was he planning and why did he cancel it?

Seriously! How was this not seized upon as analogous to Mulvaney’s disastrous admission that Ukraine-style pressure campaign is business as usual for the Trump administration??

If you ask me, Gaetz just made himself a fact witness.

Yes he would

How? Is he planning on finding something exculpatory (don’t smudge the wet ink!)?

Gaetz: “I think it’s a little weird Rudy Giuliani is in the Ukraine right now.”

I think its a a whole lot weird that a trivial idiot like Gaetz could ever get elected to Congress. But then, I guess there are a whole lot more just like him being elected by the Rethuglican party.

Maybe he doesn’t plan on coming back…

Giuliani’s trip is proof that we need impeachment…they were caught, but still are continuing the plan to get some kind of investigation against Biden. Honestly, I think they slowed down because the polls showed Biden falling and Warren taking the lead; they likely thought that they had hurt Biden enough that they could sit back and start planning on how to sabotage Warren. Now that Biden is back, here they go again, trying to manipulate the situation to get an “investigation” announcement that is meant to interfere with Biden’s chances in 2020.

I mean, they really think they can get away with it, that the Senate will let Trump off, and that they can then do whatever they want to try to win the election. And, they ma be right…the Justice Dept. won’t start any investigations of Trump before the election (but will likely look into anything about the Democrats they can), and there’s few other ways to investigate and produce evidence. And, impeachment failing may sour anything else that comes out of the House that shows bad behavior…either people will disbelieve or figure there isn’t a point since impeachment failed.

The question remains if people will just give up, or will come out in 2020 and vote these assholes out of office…if we band together and save the Republic from them, then we can fix the system. But it’s going to take that, and continued voting participation for a decade, to ensure that we aren’t undone as a nation of laws.

If he does, I’ll bet he gets the prickly sweats as he approaches customs.
