Gaetz Reveals That Trump Invited Him, Other GOP, To Review Memo

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), a staunch ally of President Donald Trump, said Wednesday that the President invited him and other Republicans to the White House this morning to jointly review the memo.

As cover ups go, OLC and Barr notwithstanding (and only Trump Judges™ may support them in court), this is one one of the most incompetent Mafia families I’ve ever heard of.

So SOMEHOW, some way, the INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEE in the US Senate was not deemed trustworthy enough for those crooks in the WH???

This is the Barr-letter approach. You get out in front of the actual release of the evidence and tell the base and assorted other dopes you did nothing wrong and everything’s fine despite the devastating nature of the evidence in any real-world context. I could insert Leslie Nielsen telling everyone to move along, there’s nothing to see, but you’ve all seen it enough I would think.

Great, just great. A free-for-all for all of tRump’s sycophants and toadies. Just as we would expect from this unlawful bunch of conspirators. Anyone else we should know about? Graham Cracker? McTurtle? Oh, that’s right. Mitch has already tried to distance himself from this shit. Riiight. Deripaska appreciates your cooperation on behalf of Putin, MoscowMitch. Gotta keep those Kentuckians flush with aluminum for those tinhats you’d like them to wear, huh Mitch?

Gaetz, Kennedy, and Graham all getting their talking points in order. I expect them to be all over CNN today.

CNN likes to play it cute - let the GOP guest of choice spew endless lies while the on air talent pretends to act exasperated.

The messaging on this needs to be clear and concise. Bit-sized pieces for the dim-witted among us. “Trump asked a foreign government for dirt on his political foes in exchange for military aid”. He bribed a foreign government to help him get re-elected.
You make it clear enough for your 90 year-old aunt to understand and Barr won’t be able to muddy it up.
Every Democrat on every TV should be saying the same thing. “Trump bribed a foreign government to help him get re-elected”. Do NOT even engage in discussions about the Bidens. Repeat: “Trump used OUR tax money to bribe a foreign government to help him get re-elected”.
Lather, rinse, repeat.

Gaetz, Florida Republican, the state where we know for a fact that Guccifer 2.0 passed along information to a Republican operative.

I suspect Trump’s “invite” went like this: “Come to the WH so we can get our stories straight, because if we don’t stop this YOUR ass is on the line, too”

Thanks, TPM .for pretty much ignoring the bullsh*t that Gaetz spewed about the content of the memo.

I see where you went so terribly wrong.

Gaetz acts like a spoiled child for one reason, because he is a spoiled child.

What is most disconcerting is that all these republicans reviewed the “transcript” and failed to recognize a crime. We’ve known for quite some time that trump does not know right from wrong. But not one of these goppers who reviewed the transcript saw the crime? Really?
How did republicans come to this? Lying, traitorous, criminals. They’re… deplorable.

This pretty much answers the question that GOP Coc…I mean Republicans are whining about in the Senate, namely, “Why did the president’s lawyers approve this?”
