Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) isn’t happy over Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp’s (R) intent to defy President Trump’s preference to appoint Rep. Doug Collins (R-GA) for the state’s soon-to-be vacant Senate seat.
Last week, Politico reported that Kemp believes that Loeffler can help staunch the flow of suburban and female voters fleeing the party.
Hope that works as well as Sarah Palin
Maybe we’ve romanticized the Sopranos too much. The pride the GOP feels about their devotion to the whims of their thug figurehead seems justified by some popular norm. The attraction escapes me, but it sure is powerful for them.
During a meeting at the White House last month, Trump reportedly aired his concerns that Loeffler lacks the right amount of political experience to receive the appointment and also took issue with how Loeffler was not an original 2016 Trump campaign supporter.
At least we know the real reason Trump isn’t fond of Loeffler.
Hopefully, this ass-clown Gaetz will soon find himself in a situation which requires the former reality TV show host to emerge on the scene and declare, “I don’t know Matt Gaetz.”
